The Firm Zafar Kalanauri & Associates deals in both contentious and non-contentious litigation before all forums. Zafar Kalanauri is the Executive Director of Pakistan Alternate Dispute Resolution the only private forum in Pakistan where the experts in different fields resolve disputes out side the court room using different ADR mechanisms.
Zafar Kalanauri has resolved a number of disputes through Mediation for which he got Mediation Skills Training & Accreditation from leading Mediators of U.S.A & U.K. He is an Accredited Mediator from U.S.A & CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) U.K. He is an Accredited Master Trainer Mediation CEDR (U.K) & IFC.
Politics
Zafar Iqbal Kalanauri is a courageous leader in an area of critical importance: the Lawyers Community of Pakistan, their rights and their productive and humane integration into society.He has worked extensively on the Civil Justice Reform Project, which successfully ran pilot projects for expeditious disposal of family and commercial cases by employing case management and mediation techniques. Elected as the youngest ever President of Lahore Bar Association (1996-97) the largest District Bar of Asia, in its’ more than 100 years old history with record number of votes
Legal Education & Legal Tours Services
Zafar Iqbal Kalanauri has been teaching at Punjab University Law College, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan College of Law,Human Resource Development Centre (Government of Punjab), Federal Judicial Academy & PILDOT (Government of Pakistan) since 1997. Developed a number of new courses including, Advocacy Training Skills, Civil Litigation, Mediation Training.
Zafar is teaching Legal Aid Clinic to final year LL.B students.
Legal tour conducted by him of the final Year students of (LUMS) with Ms.Shahid Saeed AD/ASJ Lahore after watching e-trial proceedings conducted through a video link in a murder trial.
Educational tour of the Punjab University Law College was conducted by Zafar Kalanauri to Sessions Court & High Court (2020)

Workshop & Training Programs:
Visited USA Four times on the invitation of Institute for the Study & Development of Legal Systems (I.S.D.LS), San Francisco to study the USA legal system. Especially with regard to the implementation of different ADR Mechanisms like Case Management, Court Settlement, Early Neutral Evaluation, Non-Binding Arbitration and Mediation for quick resolution of disputes, as an alternative to adversarial system. Continuously involved (as leader of the core group) with the ‘Civil Justice Reform Project’ being carried by the ISDLS & USIS, Pakistan since 1997, which successfully ran Pilot Projects for expeditious disposal of Family cases and Commercial Cases by use of Case Management & Mediation Techniques Represented Pakistan in a number of Seminars, Workshops and Conferences in USA, UK, France, China, Bangladesh and Singapore.
